Welcome

The portal CHANGE: Contact and History in Ancient Grammar of Europe, www.changeprin.it, disseminates results related to the research project Ancient languages and writing systems in contact: a touchstone for language change (PRIN2017 funding programme). The planned research aims at the intersection of two documentary perspectives – involving heterographic texts and translation texts, respectively – in order to enhance and update current knowledge on the phenomena of language variation and change in those countries where both Greek and Latin language and writing were diffused in the ancient and late ancient world.
